The best thing that has happened to me as a hobby is the skill I have for fishing.  Now don't get me wrong I was not always able to catch fish and there is still days that I can't.  But as I have put more and more effort and realized that one can not catch a fish with a worm if you keep it out of the water more than it is in it.  When I caught my first fish it was a good size small mouth bass but I was more proud that I had caught a fish than the size. Over time I have realized there is more to fishing than just fishing.  Sometimes I will go fish because it feels like the whole world is fighting me. once I am standing on the waters edge I feel an overwhelming sense of calmness and relaxation by just listening to the water.  When possible one could see me Fishing the waters of Northern Maine hence the name Fishing Northern Maine.
